Initially impressing during a trial period at the training ground during the latter stages of the 2011/12 campaign, Jakupovic signed for the Tigers in a full time basis ahead of the 2012/13 season, joining up with the rest of his team-mates midway through their summer trip to Portugal.
A Bosnian-born Swiss international, Jakupovic is entering into his first spell in English football after time spent in Switzerland, Russia and Greece.
After beginning his career at boyhood club Grasshoppers Zurich, Jakupovic made the move to FC Thun in the summer of 2005. Experiencing Champions League football during his time with the Swiss club saw Jakupovic gain exposure, and a move to Russian Premier League side Lokomotiv Moscow followed in July 2006.
With first team opportunites limited, the ‘keeper was sent on loan to Grasshoppers prior to making the switch to the Greek Super League with Olympiakos Volou and subsequently Aris.
