Yann Ekra signed for the Tigers from French side Olympique Lyonnais at the beginning of the 2008/09 season.

The striker spent the first half of the season playing for City's youth team before joining Greek side Panionios on loan in January.

After a successful spell in Europe, Ekra returned to East Yorkshire and was handed a first team squad number for the 2009/10 season. He was named in City's initial squad for the Carling Cup tie with Southend, although he just missed out on a place in the final 18.
