Paying £150,000 to secure his services, the Tigers beat off competition from several sides to sign young goalkeeper Mark Oxley from Rotherham United ahead of the 2008/09 season.
Although he was yet to make his senior debut for the Millers, Mark had provided cover on the bench several times, as well as playing for England's under-18 side.
Injury disrupted Mark's first season with City, as he made only a handful of appearances for the reserves.
The keeper enjoyed his first taste of competitive football during a brief loan spell in the 2009/10 campaign. Teaming up with fellow Tigers youngster Jamie Devitt at Grimsby, Mark made his debut against Dagenham & Redbridge in February 2010.
Following Boaz Myhill's departure to West Brom, Mark was a regular face on the bench during the 2010/11 season.
