Hoping For A Start - Barmby

Posted on: Fri 05 Mar 2010

Nick Barmby hopes to win a place in the starting eleven when the Tigers take on Everton on Sunday.

With Craig Fagan suspended, there is a place available in midfield and Barmby hopes it will be his name on the teamsheet.

"I hope to snatch a place in the team every week," said Barmby, a former Everton player.

"It doesn't matter who we're playing against. It would be nice to play, but if not I want to help the lads who are playing.

"The main focus and the main goal is for us to get a result no matter who plays.

"It will be a difficult game, but that's what we're in the Premier League for. It would be fantastic to go to Everton, frustrate them and get a good result.

"There are 11 games to go and with the position we're in, we need as many points as possible."
