Steven Mouyokolo hopes to keep up his recent run of good form when the Tigers take on West Ham United on Saturday.
Mouyokolo has impressed since coming into the side at the end of January, keeping Kamil Zayatte out of the team and scoring his first goal in the draw with Chelsea.
Now, Mouyokolo wants to make sure he keeps his place by continuing to produce good performances.
"I've been enjoying it of late," said Mouyokolo.
"Not having the chance to show what I could do earlier was a bit frustrating, but the manager has given me this opportunity to show what I can do in my best position.
"I'm happy at the moment. I have been able to play with a lot of energy because I hadn't played regularly before.
"I tried to give everything I had in the last four games and after those, I was shattered!
"The Premier League is very demanding physically and mentally. One mistake can result in a goal, so you have to be smarter than your opponent.
"We have to give our best to stay in this league. West Ham will be a difficult game, just like every game is. Both clubs are fighting to stay in this division."
