Phil Brown is calling on his side to help make sure the battle to beat the drop goes down to the final game of the season.

For the first time, the Tigers' fate is out of their hands after Newcastle's win against Middlesbrough earlier this week but Brown knows victory against Bolton on Saturday will take the fight down to the final round of fixtures and lift them out of the bottom three.

"What we have to do is quite simple now," said Brown.

"In the past we've relied on others but it's up to us to get the win at Bolton to make sure it goes down to the final day. That's our responsibility now.

"We have been spending our lives proving people wrong (over the last 12 months). We carried that mentality into this season and began the season well but we have to prove people wrong again."

City will be backed by almost 5,000 travelling fans at the Reebok Stadium and Brown believes that will give his team a big boost.

"Knowing the Reebok Stadium as I do, I know what a huge difference a full away end can make.

"We've had some great backing up and down the country this season and I'm sure that will be the same again at Bolton.

"We're standing before the most important game in Hull City's history. The players are representing the hope and belief of 105 years of history and we need to find a performance that matches that. It needs to be inspired."

Defender Kamil Zayatte should feature tomorrow despite being stretchered off during the defeat to Stoke last weekend, but Bernard Mendy will miss out on a return to his former club with a toe injury.

Supporters are reminded that the Club's allocation of tickets for this fixture has sold out and there will be no tickets available at the Reebok Stadium on the day of the game.
