'Forget Start To The Season' - Barmby
Nick Barmby says the Tigers need to stop looking back at their good start to the season and concentrate on what is to come.
The Tigers have been stuck on the 20-point mark since the win against West Brom in late October and Barmby wants his side to start picking up points again.
"We've had a good start, but that's all," said Barmby.
"We're coming into a period when we've got a lot of hard games. Obviously we've got Manchester City on Sunday and we follow that with trips to Portsmouth and Stoke.
"We're looking forward to those games though. We've reflected on the first ten games. We've had a good start, but that has gone now and we're looking at the next ten games.
"We are where we are in the table on merit and the 20 points we have didn't come through luck. You can maybe be up there after the first two or three games because of luck, but not after 12.
"Confidence is high, regardless of the three defeats we've had. We didn't cover ourselves in too much glory against Chelsea, although they were magnificent that night.
"We came out of the Manchester United game with a lot of credit, even though we lost. Then, against Bolton, the man of the match was their goalkeeper.
"We're creating chances and there certainly isn't any doom and gloom around here."
Barmby, who has been an unused substitute in the last two games since returning from injury, is hoping to play some part on Sunday and says the full squad can play a vital role this season.
"You do need a big squad, whether it be for a lack of form or injuries. You don't wish injury upon anybody, but we all know that injuries can happen in football.
"As a footballer, all I want to do is play. But it's not all about one individual and obviously the main goal is to stay in the division.
"If you're involved in the team then fantastic, if not you just have to keep banging on the door.
"As a player, I am frustrated, but the lads that have been playing have done fantastically well so you can't moan about that.
"I still love training, I still love playing and the fire is still burning. When that starts to waver, then that will be the time to call it a day.
"But right now, my motivation is exactly the same as it was when I was 16."
