Daniel Cousin readily admits that just a year ago, he knew nothing about Hull City.

Twelve months later, the former Rangers striker is well aware of the credentials of the Premier League's newest team.

His goal earned the Tigers a memorable 2-1 win against Arsenal last weekend and the 31-year-old is now eagerly anticipating another trip to North London on Sunday when his new club meet Tottenham at White Hart Lane.

"No, Hull City weren't familiar to me," said Cousin.

"But I haven't been surprised by how well Hull have done in the Premier League. There is a great atmosphere in the team and we all work well together.

"The success is coming now with the results. I feel great and the team haven't lost since I arrived."

Cousin admits his arrival in the Premier League was a long-standing ambition and says his main aims are to score plenty of goals and help the team to top flight survival.

"I just wanted to play in England. The Premier League is the best league in the world and there are lots of other foreigners playing here, that makes it interesting.

"My personal ambition is to score as many goals as possible, but for the team the first ambition has to be staying in the league."
