'The Occasion Won't Distract Us' - Ashbee
Ian Ashbee says the players will not allow the occasion to distract them from the main job in hand on Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers will play at Wembley for the first time in their history when they face Bristol City in the Championship Play-Off Final.
But with a place in the Premier League at stake, Ashbee says his side can't allow themselves to get caught up in the hype surrounding the game.
"It's just another game at the end of the day," said the Tigers' captain.
"It's massive for the Club to get to Wembley, but when you strip it down it's all about 90 minutes of football.
"We've got a job to do. We've worked hard all season for this opportunity and we've got to try and grasp it now."
Manager Phil Brown has placed huge emphasis on trying to keep preparations as normal as possible in the build up to the game and Ashbee confirmed nothing out of the ordinary had taken place.
"We had a couple of days off last weekend to give us a bit of time away from the place.
"But since then, training has been as normal and the manager has made sure that has been the case."
Ashbee, who played at the 'old' Wembley for an England Under 15 side, doesn't believe that form will be a factor on Saturday and knows it will be all about who rises to the occasion on the day.
"I don't think form comes into it. It's all about who settles best on the day and maybe about a small element of luck as well.
"Both teams will be putting everything into it and it's a one-off occasion."
Ashbee admits he will be a very proud man when he leads the Tigers on to the field and fulfils the dream of every football fan.
"Leading your team out at Wembley is what everybody dreams about. I'll be a proud man on Saturday, being the first person to lead Hull City out there.
"I'm looking forward to that and hopefully I can just take everything in my stride."
