Campbell Up For Promotion Challenge
Fraizer Campbell says he and the rest of the City players want to show the club's fans they are still up for the challenge of winning automatic promotion.
Although Stoke are in the driving seat going into the last two games of the season, three points for the Tigers against Crystal Palace tomorrow will take the race down to the final weekend of the campaign.
"It's a big game for us because we lost last Saturday," said Campbell.
"We want to show the fans that we're not prepared to just lay back and accept the Play-Offs. We want to win our last two games and hopefully that will take us straight up.
"If it doesn't, it will mean that we at least go into the Play-Offs in a very confident frame of mind.
"But while we are still able to achieve automatic promotion, it has to be the aim. We'll concentrate on our own performances and I'm sure we'll get what we deserve."
With Palace currently sitting in sixth place, the game will see two of the Championship's form teams going head-to-head and Campbell has told fans to expect an attractive game of football.
"It should be a good game for the fans to watch and I'm sure it will be a great game to play in.
"I think there will be plenty of pace on show and hopefully a few chances for ourselves. If those come my way, hopefully I can take full advantage."
Campbell is adamant last Saturday's defeat at Sheffield United hasn't affected the players and says the squad will be more than ready for the visit of Neil Warnock's side.
"With the position we're in, we know we'll be up for the game. We're third at the moment so there shouldn't be any problems on that score."
