Dean Marney is getting ready for what he describes as a 'huge' game against Sheffield United on Saturday.

The Tigers go into the Yorkshire derby at Bramall Lane in second place and unbeaten in their last six games but Marney is under no illusions as to how vital the clash with the Blades is.

"It's a huge game for us," said Marney.

"Tuesday night at Barnsley was a huge game as well and they just keep on coming. We're just looking forward to it, although we know it will be a very tough one for us.

"But it's a game we definitely know we can win. They have some good players, but with the players we've got we know we can cause them problems.

"We have players with the quality to score goals and if we work as hard as we have been doing recently, we'll stand a great chance of getting a positive result."

Marney himself was on target in the 3-1 win against Barnsley on Tuesday night, stepping up to score from the penalty spot in the first half.

The midfielder says there were no nerves, despite missing his previous spot kick at Leicester, and he hopes to find the net again before the season ends.

"Obviously I was disappointed to miss the penalty at Leicester. I changed my mind at the last minute and that is the worst thing you can do.

"But there were no nerves on Tuesday night. I practiced penalties the day before and knew which way I was going to go.

"My goal-scoring rate has been a bit better this season, but I would have liked a couple more. But there are three games left, so hopefully I can do something about that.

"It was a great win at Barnsley and I think it helped to lift our momentum again. We were disappointed with the QPR game, even though we took a massive point.

"Barnsley was a must win game for us because it was our game in hand. We won it and have put ourselves in a great position.

"The fans played a massive part in that and they created an unbelievable atmosphere at Oakwell.

"If they can do the same on Saturday, hopefully we can give them plenty to cheer again."
