Myhill Hoping For Memorable Clash
Boaz Myhill is hoping the Tigers' clash with Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday will turn out to be another memorable encounter between the two sides.
Myhill has played his part in some thrilling meetings between the Yorkshire rivals and despite losing at Hillsborough earlier this season, he's confident the Tigers can come out on top this weekend.
"Hull City against Sheffield Wednesday is always a great game," said Myhill.
"Everytime we play them at home, the ground is packed and they bring a lot of fans with them as well.
"I remember my first game against them which was at Hillsborough the second time we won promotion. It was one of the first 'sold out' games I'd played in away from the KC.
"It's a fixture that holds good memories on the whole, although maybe more for Nick Barmby than anybody else because he always seems to score!
"I always think of Sheffield Wednesday as being a massive game. It will be a good test for us on Sunday and it would be great to win because of where we are in the league at the moment.
"We owe them one as well because they beat us at their place earlier this season.
"It will be a difficult game because I think they will come to attack, as they always seem to do. They had a tough start to the season, but I don't think that was ever going to last.
"They seem to be pulling out of that and they've been doing reasonably well away from home."
Myhill admits City will go into the game with confidence high after taking four points from their last two games and keeping a clean sheet against Wolves on Boxing Day.
"The work ethic of the lads this season, for the main part, has been fantastic. As a group, we look very strong defensively and we've looked very good going forward in the last two or three games.
"But we need to keep our feet on the ground and make sure we keep doing the simple things well.
"But obviously it's a lot easier to come into work and hold your head up high when you're at the right end of the league as opposed to where we were last year.
"We all want to keep our unbeaten Christmas run going and hopefully that will be the case on Sunday."
