Sam Ricketts has backed his side to secure their first league double of the season this afternoon when Wolverhampton Wanderers visit the KC Stadium (KO 3pm).

The Tigers secured a 1-0 win in the first game between the two sides at Molineux back in September and Ricketts is confident City can pick up another three points today, although he knows they will have to be at their best.

"It's important that we do well at home and we've been doing that recently," said Ricketts.

"We know Wolves will give us a good test and they are a good side. We beat them away, so we'll be looking to do the double over them although we know we'll have to be at our best to do that.

"But it's definitely a chance for us. We had a chance to do it against Preston, but we didn't play to our ability. We want that first double, and then we want to get as many of those as possible before the end of the season."

Ricketts admits there was a tinge of disappointment following the Tigers' 1-1 draw at Charlton on Saturday, but feels that on the whole it was a positive result and says he is enjoying the current high volume of fixtures.

"We were a bit disappointed not to win at Charlton. But if you look at things on the whole, coming away from The Valley with a 1-1 draw is a good result.

"We'll take the positives and how well we played out of it and we were quite happy with a draw.

"You love playing games and at this time of year there's plenty of them. People might think they're coming thick and fast, but that's why we play football.

"Today should be a good game with a good crowd in the ground. That's what you play football for."
