Ashbee Keen To Amend Away Form
Ian Ashbee believes the Tigers can end their disappointing run of results away from home with a win at Burnley tonight.
City have only won once on their travels in the league this season but Ashbee says if they start taking their chances in front of goal, that will soon change.
"We've definitely got goals in our side," said Ashbee.
"I know we've struggled to score away from home but we're definitely capable of changing that. We can put that right at Burnley tonight.
"If we can go to Wolves and win, there's no reason why we can't go and win at Burnley.
"Of course it will be difficult because nobody is going to roll over and let us win. We have to go there and match whatever they throw at us because they will be well organised, physical and strong."
The Tigers will have extra reason to win tonight as they look to put Saturday's poor performance at QPR behind them and Ashbee accepts his side can't afford a similar display.
"The way we lost on Saturday was not very clever. Once the first goal went in the game changed and I was very disappointed with the way we didn't fight back.
"Things were said after the game and on Sunday morning at training. It's important to get those things off your chest because if you don't, they will keep happening throughout the season and we don't want that."
City face something of a Lancashire double in the coming days with a home test against Preston following tonight's trip to Turf Moor and Ashbee is targeting a minimum of four points from the two games.
"It would be nice to come out of the two games with six points. Four points wouldn't be a disgrace and it's all about picking up points.
"At this stage, one win can shoot you up five or six places because that is how tight the division is.
"Once you get past Christmas, the gaps start to get bigger. So we have to keep ourselves up there and not start panicking just because we've dropped down a couple of places.
"The quality in this squad will help to sort things out and get some results."
