Dean Marney is preparing for a busy weekend as the Tigers face two games in a little over 48 hours.

The Tigers travel to Watford on Saturday before returning to the KC Stadium to face Barnsley on Monday night, but for now Marney is focussing on the trip to Vicarage Road.

"I'm sure it will be a tough weekend for us," said Marney.

"Having games as close together as this doesn't happen that often, but I'm concentrating on Watford first.

"Hopefully I'll play well there, we'll get a good result and then look at Monday."

Marney has been one of the Tigers' most consistent players in recent weeks and earned his side a point with a 90th minute penalty at Crystal Palace a fortnight ago.

The midfielder has been pleased with his form of late and feels the team is progressing nicely as well.

"I think I've done okay recently and I've been enjoying my football. But it's up to me to keep that going now.

"That penalty at Palace was good for my confidence. At the time, I think it looked as though nobody wanted to take it, but that wasn't the case. It was just the fact that normally Dean Windass steps up to take them, but he wasn't on the pitch at the time.

"I just felt confident at the time and thankfully it went in because if we'd gone away with a defeat that would have been a disaster really. We were the better side and created a lot of good chances, but their keeper was on form."

Marney is now looking for a repeat of the positive performance at Vicarage Road and says that is what the aim will be.

"Obviously a performance as good as the Palace one is the aim. We know it's going to be a tough game but we've got nothing to fear. If we go there fearing them, we've almost lost before we've started.

"We're confident we can go there and get a result, but we have to perform to the maximum of our ability."
