'Watford Trip Holds No Fear' - Parkin
First team coach Steve Parkin says the Tigers won't have any fear when they travel to top of the table Watford on Saturday.
The Hornets are yet to lose at home this season, but having watched City win away at Wolves and perform well at Crystal Palace recently, Parkin is confident the Tigers can record a positive result.
"We've proved already this season that we don't have any fear about travelling away from home," said Parkin.
"We've been to Wolves and won and we went to Crystal Palace and should have won. I think any of our supporters who were at Palace and gave an honest appraisal would say we should have won.
"The important thing for us tomorrow is to make sure we match Watford physically and mentally from the start.
"We have to make sure we go out there and stick to the gameplan."
Although confident about City's prospects, Parkin is under no illusions as to how tough a test is in front of them and views a trip to Vicarage Road as the toughest test in the Championship at this moment in time.
"Watford are top of the league for one reason and one reason only and that is that they are the best team in the division at the moment. But we have to go there and prove them wrong.
"Over the years, we've seen clubs coming down from the Premiership have been found wanting both in terms of points and performances.
"Watford haven't been found wanting for either. They seem to have slipped straight back into the groove they were in a couple of seasons ago in the Championship."
With new loan signing Fraizer Campbell expected to be included in the City squad, manager Phil Brown has extra options in attack while Parkin is confident the club's injury list is looking better by the day.
"The injury problems are definitely easing and are a lot better than they were seven days ago.
"Caleb Folan is doing very well and seems to be on the road to recovery. It's the same with Jay-Jay Okocha and I don't think it will be too long before he's fit.
"Whether or not the players who are coming back will feature from the start I don't know.
"It might be the case that they come off the bench or are saved for Barnsley on Monday night.
"The manager will make that decision and I'm sure he'll think long and hard before deciding on the team and squad he's going to play.
