Ricketts Prepared For Tough Test
Sam Ricketts believes tonight's game against Charlton Athletic represents a test against genuine promotion candidates.
The Addicks currently sit third in the table having lost just once so far this season and Ricketts is looking forward to the challenge in front of his side.
"This is a chance to test ourselves against one of the favourites for promotion," said Ricketts.
"They're up at the top end of the table already. It will be a really good test for us."
Ricketts has been in superb form in recent weeks after winning his place back in the side and says that is testimony to the hard work everybody does in training.
"I'm enjoying it at the moment and it's nice to be back in because nobody likes not playing. I missed one game through suspension and then anther two because the gaffer kept the same back four.
"I had to bide my time to get back in but now I am, I'm really enjoying the games.
"I think the side is looking very fit at the moment and that all goes back to the first day of pre-season.
"It's showing on the pitch. We're covering plenty of metres and you need to do that to win games."
Having enjoyed a 3-1 success against Ipswich on Saturday, Ricketts is confident the Tigers can record another three points this evening.
"We're going out to win, even though Charlton are one of the top sides. We're not looking to draw or be cautious. There are three points on offer and we're after them."
