Ian Ashbee says the Tigers must take the 'rough with the smooth' following Saturday's defeat against Bolton.

The 1-0 defeat at the KC Stadium was City's third loss on the bounce, but Ashbee is adamant there is no need for panic.

"Maybe we rode our luck in previous games, but you have to take the rough with the smooth," said Ashbee.

"Things have maybe evened themselves out. We've seen the replays and there was a definite foul on Dean Marney before the goal, but these things happen.

"Once they got in front, they hung on to their lead and credit to them for that.

"We're facing a little bit of a test now. But I didn't get carried away when we beat Arsenal, so I won't be getting too down after losing to Chelsea, Manchester United and Bolton.

"I know there is plenty of character in the dressing room, so I'm not overly worried.

"If we weren't creating chances to score, I would be more concerned. But it was there for everybody to see on Saturday that their keeper had a wonderful day and good luck to him.

"I don't think I've seen a goalkeeping performance as good as that. How he's got to some of those shots, I don't know. But that is what he is there for and that is what he gets paid to do."
