Goal hero Geovanni says he has a feeling of 'great joy' after helping the Tigers to back-to-back away wins.

The Brazilian was on target with a stunning free kick in the 1-0 win at Spurs on Sunday, following up his wonder strike against Arsenal eight days earlier.

He is now the Tigers leading scorer with three goals so far this season and he says he is very happy at his new club.

"Obviously I'm really happy and it's a great joy to score the goals at Tottenham and last week (at Arsenal)," said Geovanni.

"I'm really happy here. Opportunities come about in life that you have to really think about and I'm really pleased that I've made the move to Hull."

And Geovanni says he isn't surprised by the form the Tigers have shown so far.

Phil Brown's side go into the second international break of the season sitting third in the Premier League table with Geovanni saying the quality in the City squad is paying off.

"I was expecting this. We always try and do the best we can but we've got a lot of quality players here and this is exactly what I'm expecting.

"I try and do the best that I possibly can and the team do their best so what happens happens.

"It's a very difficult league to play in but if we play like we did this week and last week, we'll do well."

Although City's players who are not involved in international fixtures will now have the opportunity to rest, Geovanni says there will still be plenty of hard work done before the next match against West Ham.

"We're really enjoying it a great deal up to now and we've got the chance to rest for a couple of weeks.

"When we start back again (the matches), we'll put all of our efforts into doing the best we can."
