Garcia Wants Biggest Reward
Richard Garcia says a trip to Wembley on May 24th will be a reward for all of the hard work done by the Tigers this season, but hopes there will be an even bigger reward coming their way next Saturday.
The Tigers will face Bristol City in the Championship Play-Off Final with a place in the Premier League at stake and Garcia feels a win for his side would be the perfect end to a memorable season.
"As a team, we feel as though we've achieved something good - so far," said Garcia.
"We've worked long and hard all season and it's good that we've got a reward for that.
"But hopefully we will get an even bigger reward come the 24th May.
"We know there is still work to do and it would be a real 'downer' if we ended our season with a defeat. Getting to Wembley and losing would be bitterly disappointing.
"We've got a lot of work to do on the training ground and we'll be going down there to give it our best shot."
Garcia, who scored the third goal in the Tigers' 4-1 semi-final second leg victory against Watford on Wednesday night, admits getting to Wembley ranks as one of the top highlights of his career.
"It's right up there. Making my first appearance in the Premier League was fantastic, but to have the opportunity to play at Wembley is great.
"Not many people get the chance to do that, so it has to go down as a fantastic achievement.
"This is a reward for the fans as well because they have been fantastic throughout the season. They've stuck with us through our bad performances, but in the main we've given them a good season to watch."
