Wayne Brown was delighted with the Tigers' performance in the 2-0 victory over Burnley.

In what was perhaps the best 45 minutes of football played by City at the KC Stadium, first half goals from Fraizer Campbell and Richard Garcia set up the win and the centre-back was quick to heap the praise on his team-mates.

"Our performance in the first half was definitely one of the best I've seen since coming here," he said.

"The way the lads worked tirelessly throughout the 90 minutes was tremendous and if I have as easy games as that in the last 11 games, then I'll be a happy man. The way we performed across the pitch made our jobs at the back a hell of a lot easier.

"If you've got the whole team working their nuts off around you, it does make your job a lot easier."

In an eventful game, four players were shown red cards by referee Mike Riley with Caleb Folan and Jay-Jay Okocha sent-off for the Tigers and Steven Caldwell and Joey Gudjonsson for the visitors.

The dismissals will grab the headlines in the media coverage of the game, but Brown was determined not to let them take the shine off what was a fantastic team performance.

"It may have done a little bit, and the headlines will probably be more focused on the lads that went for an early bath rather than our performance.

"But take nothing away from us, it was a great team display and a great three points, especially considering it was against a team in and around us in the league table."
