Folan - 'We Won't Get Carried Away'
Caleb Folan says the Tigers won't let themselves get carried away following the 2-1 win at West Brom.
Folan scored his fifth goal of the season to earn City all three points and despite it firmly establishing his side as serious play-off contenders, the striker says everybody will be keeping their feet on the ground.
"The important thing is that we don't get too carried away with this result," said Folan.
"We're delighted with the points, but there is a long way to go and a lot of games to be played.
"There are a lot of games coming up in March and it's important that we try to carry on our recent good form."
Despite his note of caution, Folan was naturally delighted with the victory and felt the way the Tigers 'dug in' after being pegged back to 1-1 just before half time was a key factor in the win.
"It was a great win and credit has to go to all of the lads. We stuck at it and ended up with three points. It was brilliant to do that at a place like The Hawthorns.
"We took the lead with a great goal from Fraizer Campbell. I was right behind it and it looked as though the ball was going wide because he set the shot out so far.
"That goal gave us added confidence and even though we went in at 1-1, we just kept our heads up. We felt there was going to be something in the game for us and we got our reward.
"It wasn't the best we've played this season. But we dug in and I don't think you can take anything away from us for that.
"After three draws it was great to come to a place like West Brom and get a win. We're on a high at the moment and everybody was up for this game."
Folan's goal came after he cut in from the left wing and delivered a superb shot into the bottom corner of the net, although he was modest in his description.
"I picked the ball up out wide and I didn't feel that there was too much pressure on me from their players.
"I just drove towards goal and as soon as I cut inside, things just seemed to open up. I tried to make sure I hit it well and luckily it went in."
