'It Was A Vital Win' - Windass
Dean Windass was pleased to see the Tigers return to winning ways with a 2-0 victory against Leicester, despite missing his third penalty of the season.
Victory against the Foxes was City's first in five games and Windass admits a win was vital.
"It was a massive game for us and it was vital that we won," said Windass.
"The lads have responded fantastically well and we're delighted to have kept a clean sheet.
"You're always going to have blips in a season, but it's how you respond to them and we have a lot of strong characters here.
"You can't afford to feel sorry for yourself and the beauty of football is that there's always another game coming along to put things right.
"We've had two big defeats and that does damage you psychologically. But we've responded in the right way and the manager is delighted with the win."
Windass was also delighted to see Caleb Folan net his first goal for the club and says there's a lot more to come from the Tigers' record signing.
"I'm pleased as punch for Caleb. He's a great lad who has been very unlucky with injuries since he came here.
"When a club pays £1million, there is a bit of pressure and the supporters expect a lot. He fully deserved his man of the match award. Don't forget, he's still only young and he has pace and power. He took his goal really well."
The only downside to the afternoon for Windass was his penalty miss and he says he will now step aside and allow somebody else to take on the responsibility.
"I've taken some stick. I've had my fair share of penalties during my career and sometimes you just have to hold your hands up.
"I'll step aside now and let somebody else take them. You can't carry on taking them and missing.
"I changed my mind at the last minute on Saturday (as to which side to place the ball) and I don't know why. I'll accept that it's time for somebody else to have a go.
"I'd still like to take them, but I don't think the rest of the lads will let me! At the end of the day, at least I can turn round and say I had two assists on Saturday!"
