Windass Delighted With Derby Double
Dean Windass was delighted to silence the Scunthorpe United fans as his first half double took the Tigers to their third win in a row.
Windass netted twice in the opening 16 minutes to put his side on the road to victory and he was delighted with the three points.
"I love getting stick from the opposition fans and I love to score two goals against them. That is my answer to it," said Windass.
"I expected stick from their fans and I got some every now and again, but once you've scored two goals they soon shut up don't they?"
Despite being happy with the win, Windass was disappointed not to complete his hat-trick in the second half when he missed arguably the easiest chance of the game.
"I got slaughtered by the lads in the changing room for missing that one. I think what I did was I started celebrating before I'd even hit the ball.
"Because it was muddy in the penalty area, the ball didn't bounce up. I should have scored it to be fair, but I was delighted to get two goals and more importantly, we've won three on the bounce and that was a massive win for us."
