Pedersen Delighted To Get Off The Mark
Two-goal hero Henrik Pedersen was ecstatic to score his first two goals for the club in Saturday's 3-1 win against Ipswich.
On his first league start for the club, Pedersen helped the Tigers establish a 3-0 lead and although Ipswich pulled a goal back, the Dane was delighted to record three points.
"It was nice to get off the mark," said Pedersen after the game.
"You always say that the first goal is the most important because it helps your confidence.
"But overall it was a good team performance and the most important thing was the three points for the team."
Although he signed for City eight weeks ago, Pedersen hadn't been involved with the first team until the Sheffield Wednesday game nine days ago as he recovered from injury.
Despite the wait, he says he never got frustrated and was always confident of eventually making an impact.
"It hasn't been too frustrating because when I signed the time frame was always the third round of the Carling Cup.
"There has never been a rush from the manager or the chairman to get me playing before that.
"I knew when I signed that it would take a few weeks before I was fit enough to play any games."
