Jay-Jay Okocha believes the Tigers can only take positives from their Carling Cup clash with Chelsea.

Despite losing the game 4-0, the Nigerian says it was a positive experience for everybody involved and that the players have learned some important lessons.

"Last night was a very good experience and a learning curve for us," said Okocha.

"Playing against a team like Chelsea can only improve you as a player, so as a team I think we learned a big lesson.

"The main lesson is about being ruthless and clinical. We have to take our chances because you never know when the next one will come. If we can learn how to make the most of our chances, I think we will get to where we want to be.

"We created a few chances ourselves and I think that shows how far we have come as a team. But the difference was in the finishing. Chelsea took their chances, that was the difference between the two teams. But I think the score was a bit harsh on us.

"But we are still learning and trying to improve our game to become a better side."

Okocha is now calling on his team-mates to re-focus their attention on the Championship campaign, with Ipswich the visitors to the KC Stadium on Saturday lunchtime.

"Our main target is to do as well as we can in the league. It won't be a problem for us to switch back to our 'bread and butter' games.

"I'm settling in well and the team is improving. The only thing we are lacking is the points in the league.

"Three points on Saturday will make up for any disappointment last night and that is our main aim.

"I'm sure it will be a tough game. They played very well last weekend, but there are no easy games nowadays. But if you do your job right, and sometimes get a bit of luck along the way, I think you will win games."
