Boaz Myhill felt the Tigers showed great spirit to come from behind and take a point from the 1-1 draw with Stoke at the KC Stadium.

City left it late to equalise, David Livermore heading home three minutes from time, but Myhill felt a point was the least that his side deserved.

"I think any point you get after going behind is a good point," said Myhill.

"Obviously we wanted to win at home, but unfortunately that wasn't possible. We showed great spirit and I think the second half was better for us than the first.

"The game is never slipping away from you until it's over, but you do start to worry. Thankfully Dave Livermore has sneaked into the box and got a goal."

Myhill felt the impact of Jay-Jay Okocha from the bench also had an impact on the game and says the Nigerian helped to get the side going during the second half.

"He definitely got people going and he wants the ball in all areas of the pitch. He is a good player and hopefully he will be a good signing for us.

"From a personal point of view, he is a nice guy and easy to get along with. We've all given him the respect he is due and he has done the same.

"If he keeps working hard like he did on Saturday and if he keeps getting on the ball and putting in great shifts, it will only be beneficial to the squad.

"He kept the ball well. When the game is starting to get stretched, you need people on the ball who are calm and take a few touches. He did that very well."

Matt Duke's injury saw Myhill reclaim his place in the first team on Saturday but he knows he will have to play well to stay in the starting eleven.

"It's been disappointing for me to have to watch games. But that is what it's all about here now because of the size of our squad.

"Because of the amount of good players we have here, you have to play well to keep your shirt.

"While I was out of the side, I was supportive to Matt just like he has always been supportive to me.

"Everybody wants to be in the team, but there are only 11 players who can do that and the manager will pick the team he sees fit to win every game. We're all right behind him working hard to get into his side.

"I don't think I'm too good to be dropped. Every player needs to realise that the manager picks the side for the best of the group and he'll continue to do that for the rest of the season.

"We're all behind him and we're fighting to get the club up the league. Hopefully we can achieve that."
