Danny East admits it would be fantastic if he could be involved in this weekend's FA Cup tie against Crawley Town.
The young right back made his senior debut for City in the Carling Cup tie against Macclesfield earlier this season and he would the love the opportunity to be involved in the first team matchday routine once again.
"I would love to be in and around the squad this weekend and if the chance did come, it would be down to me to prove myself," said East.
"My debut in the Carling Cup was a mix of highs and lows. As much as I enjoyed the occasion, it was a game we should have won but we weren't good enough on the night. But making my debut was the best feeling ever."
Whether he's involved on Saturday or not, East knows City will have to be on their guard against a team flying high in League Two.
"You have to take their form into consideration," added the Centre of Excellence graduate.
"But we have to go out there and play the type of game that has got us to where we are in the Championship."
East was speaking after filming a feature for the Yorkshire edition of the BBC's Monday night football show Late Kick-Off along with Aaron Mclean. Look out for it in the coming weeks.
