Matt Duke was out to support a charity close to his heart in the East Yorkshire village of North Frodingham on Tuesday night.
The City goalkeeper was at the Blue Post Inn for a charity night held to raise money for Everyman - a charity dedicated to raising awareness of, and funding research into, prostate and testicular cancer.
Having successfully battled testicular cancer himself three years ago, Duke has been closely associated with Everyman and has raised thousands of pounds for the charity himself through a series of fun-runs and charity evenings.
However, this most recent event in North Frodingham was organised by keen Hull City supporter Darren Spence, who contacted the Tigers to ask if Duke would be available to appear and help draw the raffle.
The evening proved a big success with more than £400 being raised and Darren was delighted with the outcome.
"There was a really big turn-out from the people in the village and from City supporters as well," said Darren.
"I was a bit surprised by the amount of people that came to be honest. It's fantastic and we managed to raise a lot of money. We sold every book of raffle tickets we had!
"We had a lot of prizes donated for the raffle and I'd like to thank every company who offered a prize and those who promoted the event through posters in shop windows and other ways.
"It's taken a few weeks to bring everything together, but being a City fan and with everything Matt Duke went through, Everyman was the obvious beneficiary."
As well as the raffle and the chance for locals to speak with Matt Duke, musical entertainment was provided while home-made cakes were another source of fund-raising.
Duke was delighted to support the event and praised the hard work put in by Darren.
"It was a great night and I think it's fantastic that Darren has put in so much time and effort to make it happen," said the City goalkeeper.
"He deserves a lot of praise for what he has done and the fact that so many people turned up and raised that amount of money was a reward for that.
"The money raised is going to a very worthy and important cause."
