Last weekend's defeat at Doncaster Rovers meant that a significant milestone in the career of Nick Barmby went largely unnoticed.
Barmby's ninth-minute goal in the 3-1 defeat was the 100th league goal of his career and having had time to reflect on the achievement, he is only disappointed that the century-maker didn't come on a more successful afternoon.
"It's a nice thing to look back on, but I would have preferred three points for the team," said Barmby.
"But it is one of those things that is nice to look back on from a personal point of view. It was a good goal and Robert Koren has got that ability to pick a pass as he is a very good footballer. Getting the best out of Robert Koren is something we need to be working on.
"That goal got us back into the game, but it wasn't to be in the end and we need to buckle down, work hard and make sure that we're right as a team for the next game."
A quarter of Barmby's 100 league goals have come for his hometown club and he admits that is something he is proud of.
"It's always nice to score for your hometown club and I would say it does give you a sense of satisfaction.
"It would be nice to kick on and get goal 101 now!"
