Ian Ashbee says the Tigers will be looking to build on their positive home start to the season against Watford on Saturday.
Both sides have a win to their name from their opening two games and Ashbee wants City to carry on from where they left off against Swansea a fortnight ago and get last week's display at Millwall out of the system.
"It'll be tough and Watford have that mix of experience and youth," said Ashbee.
"We've had two very different games so far. The first game was a good performance from us and the second wasn't good enough. There's no excuses for that second game and the sooner we learn from that the better.
"We knew what Millwall would be like and we didn't deal with it. But you have to deal with it in this league.
"The boys have responded well in training this week and the gaffer has put on some hard sessions for us. But we now have to put things right on Saturday."
