Posted on: Wed 14 Jul 2010

The club has signed James Harper and Nolberto Solano on two and one-year incentivised deals respectively with both players' contracts starting from 1st August.

29-year-old Harper, who began his career with Arsenal, spent the majority of the 2009/10 campaign with Sheffield United but was released by the Blades at the end of the season. Prior to his time at Bramall Lane, the midfielder was an integral part of Reading's side for eight-and-a-half seasons including two campaigns in the Premier League.

Able to operate in midfield or at full-back, the vastly experienced Solano, 35, played under new Tigers boss Nigel Pearson at Leicester City last season. The Peruvian has made over 300 appearances in English football during spells at Newcastle United, Aston Villa, West Ham United and Leicester.
