George's Thursday Tips:

A £5 e/w double on Albertas Run & Tidal Bay costs £10 and will return £540 if they both win.

The third day of the Festival can always be tricky and with four handicaps for punters to get their teeth into, it can prove to be a little overwhelming. However, a decent betting opportunity presents itself in the Ryanair Chase where Albertas Run (12/1) can lower the colours of more fancied horses back on his favoured good ground. The surface is imperative to Jonjo O'Neill's gelding who loves to hear his hooves rattles and that was the case when he won the RSA Chase a couple of years ago. Poquelin and Tranquil Sea have to be respected judged on their big handicap victories over course and distance this season but our selection is three times the price of them and has more than a touch of class about him.

The World Hurdle is the feature race of the penultimate day of the Festival and the rest of the field have it all to do to beat current champion Big Buck's who has looked as imperious as ever this season. However, he is very short at around 4/7 and could prove vulnerable if something is ridden for a turn of foot up the hill. Time For Rupert is a very interesting contender at his favourite track and looks a solid each-way selection at around 20/1 but Tidal Bay (13/2) is probably the only horse in the field with the talent to beat the favourite and the manner in which he stormed up the hill to take the Cleeve Hurdle last time out. He's a quirky sort but if he puts his best foot forward, then the 7/1 currently available could look very big indeed.
