Same Again
'Same again.' That will be the message from Phil Brown to his players ahead of Saturday's home game against Manchester City.
Brown wants his side to produce a performance similar to that which saw them take a point from a 1-1 draw with Chelsea in midweek.
The visit of Manchester City rounds off a run of three home games in a week and after kicking off that sequence with a draw against Wolves, the Tigers' boss is keen to at least remain unbeaten in that period.
"We're after a similar sort of outcome (as Tuesday)," said Brown.
"What I mean by that is the level of performance more than anything else. What Chelsea threw at us was worthy of a result and what we threw at Chelsea was worthy of a result.
"We expect that competitive edge on Saturday against Manchester City. We have to be at our competitive best to stand a chance of getting something from the game.
"We'll take a lot of confidence from Tuesday night's performance and hopefully that will step up our level of performance with the ball.
"The point we got against Wolves last weekend was a good point and stood us in good stead to take on Chelsea.
"That point against Chelsea will stand us in good stead to take Manchester City on and if the fans turn up like they did on Tuesday, it will be an interesting day."
