Steven Mouyokolo arrived at the Tigers' training ground in Cottingham on Tuesday to formally put pen to paper on a four-year contract with the Club.

City initially agreed a deal with the French defender back in January but allowed him to stay with his then-employers Boulogne for the remainder of the 2008/09 season.

During that time he helped his side seal promotion to Ligue 1 and having seen the Tigers maintain their place in the Barclays Premier League, the 22-year-old admits it was a perfect end to the campaign and he now can't wait to get started in a black and amber shirt.

"Hull City stayed in the top division and that is a brilliant thing," said Mouyokolo.

"My team in France won promotion to the top league for the first time as well, so the ending to the season was the best I could have hoped for. I was very happy.

"Now I have come to Hull and it has always been my dream to play in England. I've been playing football since I was ten-years-old and during that time, England has always had the best league in the world and everybody wants to play here.

"I have worked and worked and worked, but I still didn't think the chance would come so quickly. This is a dream come true and I now have the opportunity that a lot of players in France want.

"I can't wait for the new season to start now. I can tell this club is like a family where everybody works hard for each other. I like that mentality."
