Mendy Hoping For Start
Bernard Mendy is hoping to follow up his first league start of the season with a place in Phil Brown's side to face Everton on Sunday.
Mendy was included on the right side of midfield for the trip to Newcastle last weekend and he is now eager for more action.
"It was very enjoyable last weekend because we won," said Mendy.
"I played in midfield in France for Paris Saint-Germain so I am very happy to play in that position. Maybe it is better for me.
"Last weekend was a great result and I was very happy for the team, but now we must move on to Everton.
"They are a very strong team and they seem to get better every year. I think Mikel Arteta is the best and he is my friend because we played together at Paris.
"We want to win at home because against Wigan we lost and that was a bad result. We want to win at home because for the fans, this is better."
Mendy is confident the Tigers can pick up a result against David Moyes' side after experiencing a productive week in training.
"This week we have trained very well. I think we are looking better. The team is looking stronger.
"I am not very happy though because Craig Fagan is injured. That is not good for the team."
