Former Hull City player Theodore Whitmore has been placed in temporary charge of the Jamaican national team.

Whitmore, who made 93 appearances for the Tigers between 1999 and 2002, will take charge of Jamaica's World Cup qualifiers against Mexico and Honduras next month.

Whitmore will then become assistant to John Barnes when he takes over as national manager on November 1st.
