Our congratulations go to Val Greenbury, who was the first ever half-time draw winner to claim a prize of £1,000 after buying the winning ticket at the Tigers' opening game of the season against Fulham.

Mrs Greenbury, who lives in Hull and has been following the Tigers since the age of 11, was delighted with the win and received a visit from Lottery Sales Representative Amanda Houlden last week who presented her with the winning cheque.

"We've always bought a half-time draw ticket every game we've been to," she said.

"The £1 for the ticket actually came out of our housekeeping money. We don't know what we'll be spending the money on yet but we'll make sure we treat ourselves to something special."
