City XI Beat Bridlington
A Hull City XI eased past Bridlington Town in a pre-season friendly at Queensgate on Saturday afternoon.
New signing Tony Warner made his first appearance in City's goal, playing the opening 45 minutes before being replaced by Matt Duke in a Tigers side made up largely of first year professionals and youth team players.
All the goals came in the first half with James Bennett giving City an early lead. Two goals in three minutes from Bill Law late in the half put the result beyond doubt.
Despite dominating large periods of the second half, the Tigers failed to add to their lead while Bridlington, to their credit, forced Matt Duke into making two or three good saves at the other end,
Hull City: Warner, Fox, Deagle, McNamara, Wright, Lamplough, Devitt, Bennett, Newman, Kendall, Law.
