The Tigers completed a remarkable North London double with a 1-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon.
Eight days after the stunning win at Arsenal, Geovanni was the hero once again, firing home a wonderful free kick to earn the points.
Marlon King was passed fit to play as Phil Brown named the same side that started at the Emirates Stadium last weekend.
Captain Ian Ashbee was making his 200th league appearance for the Tigers while fellow midfielder Dean Marney lined-up at the ground where he spent the formative years of his career.
Fraizer Campbell, the man who did so much to help the Tigers reach the top flight, started for Spurs but there was no place in the starting eleven for Michael Dawson (younger brother of City left-back Andy) who had to make do with a place on the bench.
While City aimed to continue their fantastic start to life in the Premier League, the bottom-of-the-table Spurs needed a victory to avoid their first start to a season since 1912.
Heavy rain meant there was a slick playing surface as the Tigers defended in front of their own fans in the first half.
Spurs won a corner in the opening minute and when Jermaine Jenas's delivery was headed back across by Vedran Corluka to Gareth Bale, Andy Dawson was forced to clear a low shot off the line.
At the other end, George Boateng was given time and space to fire a low shot at goal from 25 yards, but Heurelho Gomes saved comfortably.
Geovanni had a great chance on three minutes following Daniel Cousin's neat flick, but the Brazilian fired over.
A good run from Aaron Lennon caused panic in the City defence a minute later, but following a scramble Boaz Myhill saved from a combination of Campbell and Roman Pavlyuchenko.
The Tigers took the lead on nine minutes from a free kick.

King was fouled 35 yards out and when Geovanni stepped up, he curled a wonderful shot into the top corner which gave Gomes no chance.
Tottenham responded with a Lennon shot that Myhill had to get down low to save.
Ian Ashbee was booked in the 21st after bringing down Lennon.
The free kick was taken by Bale and Myhill had tip the effort onto the bar and out for a corner, which was far too deep to cause City a problem.
Spurs had loud appeals for a penalty turned down when Luka Modric appeared to be tripped on the edge of the box, but the claims were waved away to the fury of the home supporters.
Jenas was booked in the 34th minute for a foul on Ashbee as the game began to take on a physical edge.
Seconds earlier, Kamil Zayatte had picked up a knock but carried on after treatment.
Spurs were then forced into a change when Pavlyuchenko failed to run off an earlier knock. Darren Bent came on in his place.
Some wonderful play from the Tigers set up a shooting chance for Dean Marney on 37 minutes, but his effort came back off the far post and rebounded to safety.
George Boateng earned himself a yellow card after the Tigers had sloppily given the ball away deep in Spurs territory.
Six minutes before half time, King warmed the hands of Gomes with a strike from 20 yards.
City had a lucky escape when Spurs hit the woodwork for a second time in the 43rd minute, Jonathan Woodgate's strike deflecting off Michael Turner before rebounding off the post.
Half Time: Tigers 1-0 Spurs
Cousin had City's first attempt of the second half, firing high over the bar after turning his marker.
Zayatte needed treatment for a second time five minutes after the break after picking up a knock while defending a corner but again he was okay to carry on.
Spurs made their second change on 55 minutes when David Bentley came on for Chris Gunter.
The home side should have leveled two minutes later when Bent beat the offside trap, but he could only knock the ball past Myhill and wide of the far post.
With Spurs starting to get on top, City made a change with Bernard Mendy coming on for Cousin.
Mendy took up a position on the right of midfield, leaving King largely as a lone striker.
City were being pressed further and further back with Didier Zokora seeing his shot fly over and Bent seeing his effort brilliantly blocked by Turner.
The Tigers' second change came with 19 minutes to go as Peter Halmosi [pictured] replaced Geovanni.

A little bit of frustration was starting to creep into the Spurs players, highlighted by Lennon's late challenge on Halmosi which earned the England player a yellow card.
Lennon was then substituted to the disappointment of the home fans as the Spurs version of Giovani came on.
A rare City attack brought a save out of Gomes on 75 minutes, the Tottenham keeper saving with his legs from King.
Bent was the next player to pick up a yellow card, this time for a foul on Andy Dawson before the Tigers' final change saw Caleb Folan take the place of King up front.
Campbell was then booked after attempting to track Paul McShane's run.
Deep into four minutes of added time, Spurs were awarded a free kick within shooting range.
Bale stepped up, but curled his effort wide before the final whistle was blown to confirm the Tigers' third away win on the trot and our first-ever win at White Hart Lane.
It also lifted Phil Brown's troops into third in the Premier League table, headed only by Chelsea and Liverpool and - needless to say - our highest-ever league position.
