Fit For Football

Posted on: Wed 11 Feb 2009

The "Fit For Football" project is aimed at raising the awareness of healthier eating, physical activity and dangers of smoking amongst children aged 9 to 11 years.

The project is funded for 4 years by the New Opportunities Fund and involves Hull City, Grimsby Town and Scunthorpe United working in partnership with the Local Authorities from each area.

Altogether 120 schools will be involved, Hull City will be delivering sessions to 60 primary schools in the Hull and East Riding area. Each school will receive 5 hours, they must be out of the normal school time i.e., after school, during holidays or on teacher training days.
