June Issue On Sale Now

Posted on: Tue 09 Jun 2009

The June issue of City Magazine is on sale now and inside we celebrate our survival in the Barclays Premier League!

You can relive all the drama and tension from the Tigers' final six games of the season on the monthly DVD, while in the magazine itself, we go behind the scenes as City take on Stoke, Bolton and Manchester United.

Player of the Year Michael Turner looks back at the season and his near clean sweep at the Club's end of season awards evening.

Boaz Myhill, Sam Ricketts and Nick Barmby relive the Tigers' final day survival and we bring you a selection of exclusive photography that captured the emotion of that Sunday afternoon.

The man behind that photography, Paul Edgar, looks ahead to this month's release of 'Living The Dream', a publication featuring 194 pages of exclusive access-all-areas photography charting City's first ever season of top flight football. He also reveals what it has been like shadowing Phil Brown and his squad for the past ten months.

Youth team products Liam Cooper and Tom Cairney tell us why avoiding relegation is a big boost to them and look back at their own seasons while the Club's Head of Youth Billy Russell reflects on 2008/09.

Former City boss Peter Taylor reveals his delight and discusses his promotion with Wycombe Wanderers and we catch up with the first, and only, 'Miss Hull City'.

As well as all the recent match highlights, the May DVD features Development Coach and Reserve Team Manager Trevor Morgan who looks back at an encouraging season for City's second string and we also go behind the scenes at the Tigers' official Player of the Year Awards.

You'll find all of this and much more in the June issue of City Magazine, on sale now priced £4.99 from Tiger Leisure and all participating stores.
