North Ferriby United v Hull City
Monday 16th July, Rapid Solicitors Stadium, KO 7.30pm
Admission: £9 Adults, £5 Concessions

Steve Bruce will get to see his new side in match action for the first time tonight when the Tigers make the short trip to face North Ferriby United.

The game comes after a week of intense fitness work out in Portugal and is the first of seven pre-season matches in preparation for the start of the competitive action next month.

After being delighted with the work ethic and commitment of his players out in Portugal, Bruce is now looking forward to seeing them at work in a match environment.

“I couldn’t have wished for anything better last week,” said Bruce.

“The weather was glorious and the work that the players put in was excellent. We got through the week with no injuries to report as such, and it was a really good week for us.

“We’ve got some games to come now. Everybody will get an hour and we’ll break the first two games and have a mixed team. That will be good for the lads and we’ll build up towards Grimsby at the back end of the week.

“It has to be a gradual build up to make sure that we’re ready for the first game of the season. For that, you need games and minutes under your belt. That is what we’re aiming to do.”
