No fresh injury worries for City....

New loan signing George Boyd goes straight into Steve Bruce’s squad for Saturday’s away game against Bolton Wanderers.

Boyd has joined from Peterborough United and will be part of the travelling party that heads to the Reebok Stadium with assistant manager Steve Agnew confirming that the attacking midfielder is in contention to make his debut.

“George will come into contention for Saturday and that is why you sign players – to get them right in there with the squad,” said Agnew.

“He will certainly be in contention. He’s a terrific player and is tried and tested in the Championship. He’s a goal-scorer, a very offensive player and he can play in a number of different positions. He’s a player that we’ve been tracking for a number of months.”

There are no fresh injury concerns for City, although they will continue to be without the services of Paul McShane (hamstring) and Abdoulaye Faye (calf) at the Reebok Stadium with Agnew hoping to see both players back in training towards the back end of next week.

Sone Aluko (Achilles), Matty Fryatt (Achilles) and Joe Dudgeon (knee) remain sidelined longer term.
