TIGERS Player functions correctly for almost all our subscribers but we have noticed that a handful of fans have been having problems receiving live match commentary recently, and we want to try and help fix that problem for them.
We have been working with the service provider of TIGERS Player, the Perform Group, to find a fix – and we have a suggestion for fans to try. The caveat is that we are not IT experts and that you should be wary of making any changes to your computer. However, having replicated the problem ourselves last night, what we did to fix it was easy enough to do.
Although we cannot say for certain, the issue with TIGERS Player seems to have been caused by a recent upgrade to the Adobe FLASH browser plug-in issued by Adobe Inc. This upgrade has been reported as causing problems with many FLASH based applications above and beyond TIGERS Player.
What we did to fix our problem with hearing live commentary was this:
For Internet Explorer
* Download the “Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)” from the following link:
* http://helpx.adobe.com/?content/help/en/?flash-player/kb/?installation-problems-flash?-player-windows.html#main-?pars_header
* Install it.
* Restart Internet Explorer.
For Other Browsers (this worked for Firefox – we did not test this on Google Chrome)
* Download the “Flash Player for ActiveX (All other browsers)” from the following link:
* http://helpx.adobe.com/?content/help/en/?flash-player/kb/?installation-problems-flash?-player-windows.html#main-?pars_header
* Install it.
* Restart your browser.
If you have RealPlayer installed on your PC
* Upgrade to the latest version of RealPlayer.
If you still have a problem hearing live match commentary after attempting the above fixes then please submit a support ticket to the Perform Group using the link on the TIGERS Player website at
http://www.player.hullcityafc.net/contact-us and mention the fact that you are a Hull City fan.
