It was a disappointing night for City’s international stars on Wednesday.

Corry Evans was an unused substitute as David Healy’s late strike rescued a point for Northern Ireland against Azerbaijan in Belfast.

Meanwhile, over in Dublin, Robbie Brady and David Meyler were both involved in the Republic of Ireland’s 1-0 friendly defeat against Greece.

Brady played the opening 45 minutes while Meyler came on for the last 20, but Loint Cholevas’s first half strike was enough for the visitors to claim victory.

Ben Amos was the only City player to experience a win this week, playing the opening 45 minutes as England U21s beat their Northern Ireland counterparts 2-0 in Blackpool.
