City produced their best display under Bruce so far in beating Bolton 3-1 last time out and after a break in the fixture programme, the players are raring to go once again.
“It’s only the start, but I hope we’re still playing at least that well with two games to go,” said Bruce.
“We set the standard last time and turned over a really good team, but we need to keep doing that for the next few months.
“When you look at Millwall tomorrow, we’ll have to defend well with Keogh and Henderson up front for them. They’ll probably look to put the ball in our box. We know what to expect.
“It’s a typical Championship challenge. We turned over Bolton, but now we have a different kettle of fish.
“We’ve had a decent start and I hope that we can keep improving. That’s the challenge now – can we keep improving and mount a challenge in this league?”
