Three wins from three home games have fired City into the top four of the early-season Championship table, but it is a first win away from home that the Tigers will be looking for at Elland Road tonight.
“It’s been a decent start and we played some really, really good stuff on Saturday and particularly in the first half,” said Bruce.
“We’ve got two away games now though and we’ve got to go and reproduce that kind of performance in front of a big crowd at Leeds.
“I hope that we can go there and play the way we have done. If we can match the standards we’ve set, there is no reason why we can’t go there in a positive mood.”
As well as City have been playing, Bruce knows they are in for a tough examination against a Leeds side that will be looking to bounce back from a weekend defeat to Cardiff.
“Whenever you go to Leeds, you know it’s going to be a tough place to play and they’re one of the big clubs in the country,” added the City manager.
“I’m sure I’ll get a bit of stick, I’m convinced of that going there, and I’ll look forward to it because it should be a good game.
“I’m aware of what our fans want and if we can go there and beat Leeds on their own patch then terrific.
“To do that we need to match Saturday’s performance and play at that sort of level. To win at Leeds, you have to play well and that will be our challenge.”
