The Tigers have received some positive news after Sone Aluko underwent a successful operation on his plantaris tendon earlier this week.
City’s joint-leading scorer has been sidelined since January with a persistent Achilles problem and it had been feared that surgery would result in a longer-term injury lay-off.
However, the club’s medical staff are confident that, barring any set-backs, Aluko will be back in training by the middle of next month.
